"Digital Dry Dock have been extremely helpful in manipulating the scanned data for maximum usability and simple integration with our needs.”

Instrument
An electronic distance measurement (EDM).
A Total Station Theodolite (TST) measures both vertical and horizontal angles and the slope distance from the instrument to a particular point.
OUtput
An on-board computer can collect data and perform triangulation calculations.
We use this instrument to ‘Control’ our data sets normally point clouds.
This improves accuracy when surveying very large objects and to accurately join/align/register two data sets taken from an object that are not next to each other or are obstructed by something etc.
We also use this instrument for single point alignment checks of keels and shaft lines
